Frequently Asked Questions:

  • *What should I expect at Crosswind?

To enjoy worship and fellowship while developing a meaningful relationship with God

  • *What is the VIBE at Crosswind?

We have a welcoming, small town family oriented church ready to love on you and make you apart of the Crosswind family.

  • *How long is a service?

Long enough to connect with God, but not so long you're looking up the lunch menu for when you get out of service. We start service at 10:30 AM and typically leave around 12:15 PM. (Don't forget to invite Pastor out to lunch!)

  • *What is the praise and worship like?

At Crosswind, we worship God with all our hearts, minds, and souls. Whether that's standing or sitting, we want everyone to Worship in Spirit and in Truth, preparing their hearts, minds, and souls, for the message that morning. As far as music goes, we have many different styles and genres being played as the Spirit leads from Israel Houghton to the more well known groups like Hillsong and Bethel

  • *How should we dress?

You are welcome to come as you are.  There is no dress code for Crosswind.  You will see many different styles.  Our pastor even mixes it up from jeans one Sunday and a pair of chucks to Dockers and sports coat the next.

  • *What can I expect for my infant or toddler?

Children ages 6 weeks to Kindergarten have fun and exciting classes in our Adventure Kids area.  They learn practical hands on bible stories; have their own praise and worship, prayer time and snacks.

We care for our Infants, pray over them and show the love of Jesus while they are entrusted to us.

You are welcome to keep your child in church with you as long as they do not become a disruption to those sitting around you.

We love kids.  However, kids are kids and their needs require attention. Therefore, we provide a changing table in the women’s restroom. We also play the service audio in our foyer, courtyard, and mother’s room. Our Hope is, if you have to leave the service, you can still stay connected and not miss everything.

  • *What can I expect for my kindergarten through fifth grader?

We start the service off with our kindergarten through fifth graders in worship service.  At the close of the praise and worship service, we pray over them and they go off to JUMP (Jesus Use Me Please) Kids where they dive into discovering what having a relationship with this Jesus looks like, they deal with relevant topics and how to love the way Jesus does.

  • *What can I expect for my Junior High and High School kids?

We feel by the time kids reach these ages that they need to be a part of corporate worship, however during other times we have things geared for their specific ages.  To find out more look at our youth ministry page.

  • *What do you do to ensure my kids safety?

We do not take having your children in our care lightly and we consider it a privilege to have them in our classes.  We have strict sign in and sign out policies in place, everyone that has any contact with children is background checked and we never ever allow less than 2 workers with kids, in a class at all times!  Along with background checks, we also put all of our teachers through extensive training.

  • *is there something to do before church starts?

We are so glad you asked!  We love fellowship time in our courtyard.  Come out enjoy some goodies, a cup of coffee or maybe you prefer hot tea or cocoa…there is something for everybody.  We think you will find our courtyard a great place to relax, make a new friend and of course enjoy something yummy!

  • *Is there anything else I should know before me or my family comes to visit the first time?

We just want you to know you are welcome, no matter what part of your journey you are on today.  If you are just seeing what this church thing is all about that is great and if you have been in church all your life that is great too!  We are all at different stages and we just want you to feel welcome and comfortable.  We encourage you to ask questions and scout us out on social media!

  • *Be sure to get your special gift for visiting us!

There are so many ways to get involved. If you need community, we could be just the spot for you!  We look forward to meeting you.
